

Captain Peter Roberts is a Master Mariner with 30 years seagoing marine experience, including Command, plus three years operational experience with a London based Ship Owner.
For the past eight years he has acted as marine consultant and expert witness, drawing upon his extensive seagoing and operations experience, to advise clients on all aspects of the role of Prudent Mariner, Prudent Ship-Owner/ Operator, and Prudent Charterer.
Peter’s specialist expertise means he is frequently called upon to appear as expert witness at arbitration and High Court in the UK and overseas, and to settle disputes. He has also written a wide range of technical reports on marine and operational subjects, and is the author of “Watchkeeping Safety and Cargo Management in Port”, an acclaimed guide to the duties of junior deck officers in port, published by the Nautical Institute and sponsored by the UK Club.
